Hi Sandra, and thanks for your nice note! I know many great people who originated from the small towns and cities of southeastern BC, in my opinion one of the most underrated travel destinations in North America. Elizabeth Lake has probably changed a lot since you were a girl. There was a lot of effort to make it more lake-like than swamp-like and I think this worked. There are several interesting sushi joints around town now, but I don’t eat raw uncooked fish (but I don’t mind a good California roll). The train museum is interesting but they still have a lot of work to do.
